The principle of the carbon dioxide incubator is to simulate a growth environment similar to that of cells/tissues in a living body, such as constant pH, stable temperature, high relative humidity, and stable CO2 level, to culture cells/tissues in vitro, providing an ideal growth environment.
Precautions for using the CO2 incubator:
1. The power switch cannot be turned on before the CO2 incubator is filled with water, otherwise the heating element will be damaged.
2. After the incubator has been running for several months, the water in the water tank may decrease due to evaporation. When the low water level indicator light is on, water should be added.
3. The CO2 incubator can be used as a high-precision constant temperature incubator. At this time, the CO2 control system must be turned off.
4. The CO2 sensor is calibrated under saturated humidity, so the humidification tray must always be filled with sterilized water.
5. When the displayed temperature exceeds the set temperature by 1°C, the over-temperature alarm indicator will light up and a sharp alarm sound will be issued. At this time, the power should be turned off for 30 minutes.
6. The cylinder should be replaced when the cylinder pressure is lower than 0.2MPa.
7. Minimize the time of opening the glass door.
8. If the CO2 incubator is not used for a long time, the moisture in the working room must be removed before closing it, and the glass door should be opened for ventilation for 24 hours before closing it.
9. When cleaning the CO2 incubator workroom, do not collide with the sensor and the impeller of the stirring motor.
10. When disassembling the support shield in the workroom, use the special wrench that comes with it and do not use excessive force.
11. Before moving the incubator, the water in it must be removed.
12. Before moving the CO2 incubator, the shelves and humidification tray in the workroom should be taken out to prevent collision and damage to the glass door.
13. When moving the incubator, do not turn it upside down, and do not lift the door to avoid damage to it.
