How to solve low drying efficiency of vacuum drying oven

Vacuum drying ovens are mainly used in laboratories, pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries for drying materials to prevent oxidation and contamination. The low drying efficiency of vacuum drying ovens is primarily caused by insufficient vacuum and uneven temperature control, both of which directly slow down the moisture removal process.

Reasons and solutions for low drying efficiency of vacuum dry oven:

1. Insufficient vacuum – Moisture is difficult to remove, leading to a sharp drop in drying efficiency.

Insufficient vacuum results in excessive residual air inside the oven, slowing down the evaporation rate of moisture and even causing the oven to become increasingly damp. This requires checking both the "equipment sealing" and the "vacuum pump status."

2. Uneven temperature control – Localized temperature discrepancies cause uneven sample drying.

Uneven temperature control can cause some areas inside the oven to be colder than the set value, preventing effective moisture evaporation. This requires adjusting both the "heating system" and the "sample placement."

Before use of laboratory drying oven, vacuum the empty chamber for 3-5 minutes to check if the vacuum level reaches the equipment's rated value. Simultaneously test the heating system to ensure it can stably reach the set temperature, thus preventing potential malfunctions. Clean the inner cavity and sealing strips monthly, and calibrate the vacuum level and temperature quarterly to ensure the equipment operates stably over the long term, preventing low drying efficiency.
